There were 39 pedestrian deaths involving automotive vehicles. If the speed limit were reduced to 30 km/hr, there would only have been 2 or 3 deaths according to the coroners statistics. That’s 36 fewer deaths. You do not know the situation for each death. Was the vehicle speeding, was the vehicle turning fast because traffic was generally traveling fast. Did you know it is perfectly legal to cross almost anywhere but it is totally illegal to go over the speed limit?
